Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is a protein that is produced by cells in the developing follicles (eggs) in the ovaries of women. It is used as a marker of ovarian reserve, which is the number of eggs that a woman has remaining in her ovaries.
AMH levels can be measured through our home blood test, and the results can give an indication of a woman’s ovarian reserve. High levels of AMH typically indicate a higher ovarian reserve, while low levels of AMH may indicate a lower ovarian reserve. A low ovarian reserve may be an indicator of early menopause or reduced fertility.
